We are incredibly proud to announce that Sloth London has joined the 1% for the Planet global movement and have committed to donating 1% of our total sales directly to not-for-profit environmental organisations focusing on protecting our planet.
We’re always looking at ways that we can be a force for good and what decisions we can take to be a better business. One of our core values is protecting our planet. To us that means doing everything we can to limit the impact that we have on the environment.
"Currently, only 3% of total philanthropy goes to the environment and only 5% of that comes from businesses. The planet needs bigger support than this, and our growing network of business members is doing its valuable part to increase giving and support on-the-ground outcomes. By joining the movement we will be donating 1% of our total revenue to support on-the-ground outcomes. This commitment means that every time one of our amazing customers places an order, 1% of the total value of that order goes directly to helping an environmental cause. This way, our customers know exactly how they’re helping the planet.
We feel this is a much more transparent way for us to give back. It's not often very clear when pledging to donate a proportion of profits exactly how much will be donated. We believe the planet should come before profits.
This commitment isn’t just for the next month either, or even the next year, this is forever.
